A-level entrants

We offer a large number of attractive job opportunities for A-level entrants, who would like to work in the banking industry. We are constantly on the look-out for young colleagues, who can put the skills they have learnt at school into practice in the areas of securities settlement or payment transactions or at our leasing subsidiary VB Leasing Finanzierung. Of course, we offer the requisite induction and training for them to work successfully.

Graduates

There are first-class job opportunities for graduates (university or technical university), who ideally have already been able to acquire some practical experience in the course of internships or working part-time during their degree course, at ÖVAG.  You will find optimal opportunities for starting your career in the banking industry in divisions such as Risk Management, Treasury or in our subsidiaries such as VB Leasing International. Of course we offer the appropriate induction and training needed to work successfully. Internships

Holiday jobs

Preconditions

  • Minimum age 17
  • School type: HASCH or HAK (Austrian vocational schools)
  • Degree course:  Business Studies, Economics, International Business Studies, Business Administration
    (see too technical university interns)
  • EU citizen or valid employment permit

Application procedure
An application for an internship should consist of the following parts:

Letter of application
incl. details of the month or months in which the pupil or student would like to undertake his internship.
Possible indication of the division(s) in which the intern would like to be employed.

Detailed curriculum vitae
(incl. contact details as well as his date of birth and references)
To ensure that planning for internships goes smoothly, applications are to be submitted to the Human Resources department by 31 January 2011 at the latest.
If possible, we shall try to take special requests on the part of the applicant into consideration but this is dependent on the application being received in good time!

Content of the internship
Pupils and students are to be involved in day-to-day business in accordance with their qualifications and should obtain an overview of the area in which they are employed.

Interns will work predominantly in the following areas:

  • Internal office work
  • Possible collaboration on projects in individual divisions

Period
Interns are employed in the ÖVAG Group in July and August.

Professional internships

The ÖVAG Group offers committed students from technical universities the opportunity to put their theoretical knowledge into practice in the course of their compulsory internship and obtain an insight into the world of banking.  They will be involved in operating business and will support the specialist department and/or collaborate on actual projects.
