Alpha aims to achieve income that is not driven by the market’s performance. This is particularly valuable if markets are unable to provide any positive returns. In periods of crisis, alpha investments can therefore play a valuable stabilisation role in a portfolio.

Income from alpha investments is dependent primarily on the expertise of people and the strategies they have developed. The additional value that is not driven by the market is achieved through the substantial degree of specialisation in the individual fund management decisions and through professional risk management. They can be implemented in both rising and falling markets.

The Alpha Strategien Futures MH investment fund deals with trends in 75 different financial and commodity markets. It is characteristic of the fund that investors can achieve income with it both in rising and falling markets since the fund profits from comprehensible trends. For this reason, as an addition to an equities/bonds portfolio, the fund produces long-term higher income combined with low risk - particularly in periods of crisis.

The Alpha Strategien Triple MH investment fund, of which there is one tranche for institutional investors and one for retail investors, is identical in its trading focus to Alpha Strategien Futures MH. However, unlike the Futures MH, only a third of the Triple MH consists of “trend followers” and a third each of equities and bonds.
Therefore, the Alpha Strategien Triple MH is a trend follower for more conservative, risk-averse investors. The investment philosophy is based on the total return.
