Subsidy database

Subsidy database

Subsidy opportunities for companies (subsidy database)

Know-how about subsidies allows companies to reduce their financing costs.
The EU stipulates the following focal points for this purpose:

  • Research, development and innovation
  • Small and medium-sized enterprises*)
  • Regional subsidies
  • Environment protection
  • Training and education
  • Rescue and restructuring measures

*) European Commission's definition of SMEs: small enterprises are independent enterprises with up to 50 employees and an annual turnover of up to EUR 10 million or total assets of EUR 10 million. Medium-sized enterprises are enterprises with up to 250 employees and an annual turnover of up to EUR 50 million or total assets of up to EUR 43 million. Large enterprises exceed these thresholds.

In the subsidy database, we make a distinction between Austria-wide subsidies and subsidies in the federal states. The programmes are analysed in a uniform manner according to EU focal points (EU logic) on a one-page-system. The transport, agricultural products, agriculture, forestry and tourism sectors were taken into consideration under the sector focal points.

The subsidy database also contains subsidies for internationalisation measures, financing and hedging programmes, which are presented via the export financing procedures of Oesterreichische Kontrollbank, OeKB, and in cooperation with international credit insurance agencies. These subsidies for companies operating internationally are summarised under the sector focal point “Exports”.

You can find over 100 important programmes for companies.
