Our principles
The term corporate governance stands for responsible corporate management aimed at long-term added value. Respecting shareholders’ interests and open and transparent corporate communication are of key importance to Volksbank AG. We regard corporate governance as a process and thus endeavour to improve the standards on a continuous basis.
A special Group Code of Conduct serves as a guideline for all employees, including the Managing Board, on the fundamental legal and ethical requirements they must observe in their work.
We can also be seen to adhere to the highest ethical standards at international level: in March 2010 we joined the “Global Compact” initiative of the United Nations, which has set international standards for companies and organisations in the areas of human rights, labour rights, environmental protection and anti-corruption based on its ten principles.
Corporate Governance
The objective of responsible corporate management and control that is geared to sustainable and long-term value creation has priority for all Volksbank AG decisions.
Memberships
To us, commitment also means supporting organisations who are dedicated worldwide to sustainable goals.
